JBL Charge 6
A portable speaker for days away from a plug, with weather protection and enough battery capacity to charge a phone.

JBL’s Charge 6 combines a 30W woofer and 15W tweeter with IP68 protection and phone-charging capability. JBL rates playback at up to 24 hours, with another four hours available through Playtime Boost. These are manufacturer figures; volume and use affect runtime.
The evidence sheet
What does the extra money buy over a basic Bluetooth speaker?
The useful additions are specific: dust and water protection, Auracast connections to compatible speakers, and a built-in phone power bank. They matter most outdoors. They do not establish that the Charge 6 sounds better than a less expensive speaker in your room.
A practical outdoor shortlist
Shortlist it for picnics, travel and occasional phone charging. At roughly three pounds it is a bag item, so the case weakens if your priority is something small enough to carry every day.
The catch
Three pounds is portable, not pocketable. Buyers who mostly listen at home may get more satisfying stereo from fixed speakers, while ultralight travelers can spend less and carry less.
