Kohler Numi 2.0
A $16,249.99 toilet with heated surfaces, bidet controls, ambient lighting and integrated audio. There are cheaper ways to sit down.

Numi 2.0 treats the toilet as an appliance platform: automatic lid, bidet functions, heated seat, foot warming, deodorization, ambient lighting, audio and a remote interface all wrapped in an unusually architectural enclosure.
The evidence sheet
Convenience reaches parody
There is real engineering here, and integrated bidet toilets can be materially nicer to live with. But the distance between “excellent toilet” and “Numi” is mostly paid in automation, materials, design and spectacle.
Admire
The ideal archive interruption: after seeing this, a $700 premium fixture suddenly reads like value engineering.
The catch
It costs more than many complete bathroom renovations, requires power, and introduces electronics into a category whose traditional reliability advantage is almost total mechanical simplicity.
