Moonbike
An electric snow machine that lands somewhere between a motorcycle, a snowmobile and a deeply unnecessary winter toy.

Moonbike is interesting because the form factor is instantly legible and still looks slightly impossible: front ski, rear track, electric drivetrain, compact frame. The company lists a 26 mph top speed, up to 40 miles of range with the dual-battery setup, 170 Nm peak torque and 3 kW maximum power.
It is exactly the kind of engineered object a discovery feed should make room for: specific, visually arresting and unnecessary in a way that does not need to be disguised as practicality.
What we know
What does the premium buy?
The rational baseline is a conventional snowmobile or simply no dedicated snow machine at all. Moonbike's premium buys compact electric propulsion, immediate torque, low mechanical complexity and a distinctive lightweight form factor. It does not buy year-round utility or mainstream practicality.
Admire · a specialist object with a narrow rational case
The engineering and form are compelling; the economics only work for someone with reliable snow access and enough use to justify a highly seasonal machine. For almost everyone else, admiration is the correct relationship.
The catch
Almost nobody needs one. It is expensive, seasonal and more specialized than conventional winter transportation. The rational case depends on where you live and how often you can actually use it.
