OMEGA x Swatch MoonSwatch Mission to the Moon
A $300 quartz watch that borrows the visual grammar of the Speedmaster without pretending to be the Speedmaster.

Mission to the Moon is the cleanest expression of the MoonSwatch idea: steel-gray coloring, black bezel and strap, white tachymeter markings and a layout deliberately tied to OMEGA's Speedmaster Moonwatch. Swatch’s US store lists it at $300 before tax, checked September 10, 2026.
The important distinction is what it is not. This is a Swatch quartz chronograph in Swatch's Bioceramic material, not an inexpensive route into OMEGA mechanical watchmaking. That honesty is what makes the collaboration easier to judge.
What we know
What does the premium buy?
A conventional Swatch chronograph or competent quartz watch can solve the functional job for less. The extra money buys Speedmaster-derived design language, the OMEGA collaboration and the cultural object itself—not mechanical movement, metal-case heft or traditional luxury finishing.
Best for the design, not as an OMEGA substitute
At $300, Mission to the Moon is a rational way to own the collaboration if the visual language is the product. It is not a shortcut to the engineering or materials of the Moonwatch it references.
Buy the design at its actual price
Swatch describes this steel-gray model as non-limited. That is a reason to separate liking the watch from any expectation that scarcity will support a resale premium. Compare a reseller’s total price with the current $300 US listing, and ask what the seller adds in return. We have not assessed future resale value.
Confirm the reference SO33M100, the included strap, seller warranty coverage and delivery timing before ordering. The US page offers an account-based purchase route while also directing readers to selected stores; that is not a guarantee that every checkout or local store has stock. Use the actual seller’s current terms.
Try it as a daily object
The useful test is whether you enjoy wearing and reading it. Check the strap against your wrist, the legibility in your normal light and the feel of the controls. A photograph cannot establish comfort or long-term durability, and we have not tested either. The 3 bar figure is a manufacturer rating, not a Row & Ledger water test; check Swatch’s care guidance before relying on it for a particular activity.
The catch
The premium is mostly design, collaboration and collectability. Buyers looking for mechanical movement value, higher water resistance, metal-case heft or traditional luxury-watch finishing should spend differently.
