Ruka TD-1
A vertical turntable that treats the record player as part of the room: machined aluminum, magnetic mounting, tactile controls and no app.

The evidence sheet
The premium is making analog architectural
TD-1 moves the record off the furniture and onto the wall, then solves the obvious technical objection with electronically managed tracking force. Mechanical knobs, a magnetic clamp and swappable cartridges preserve the ritual while the mounting system changes its place in the room.
When the player belongs in the room
The interesting idea is not vertical playback by itself; it is treating hi-fi hardware with the spatial discipline normally reserved for lighting and furniture.
The catch
This is a first production run scheduled for 2027. Until units ship and accumulate real-world use, the industrial-design thesis is better proven than the long-term reliability thesis.
