Tactile Turn Titanium Bolt Action Pen
A $99 pen that spends the premium on the object around ordinary ink: machined titanium, a mechanical action and a lifetime warranty.

Tactile Turn machines the standard Bolt Action in titanium at its Dallas shop. The 5.6-inch version weighs 1.3 ounces, uses a durable all-metal bolt mechanism and ships with a standard Pilot G2 0.7mm refill rather than forcing the buyer into proprietary ink.
That creates an unusually honest premium proposition: the refill does the writing; the money goes into the body, mechanism, grip texture and ownership horizon.
What is actually here
What does the premium buy?
A Pilot G2 writes for a few dollars. Tactile Turn does not pretend otherwise. The $99 buys a corrosion-resistant machined housing, satisfying mechanism, domestic manufacture and a product designed to outlast many boxes of refills.
Benchmark
This is a strong reference point for rational premium writing instruments: the functional consumable remains cheap while the durable object gets better. Buy it if you use a pen daily; skip it if the pen lives in a drawer.
The Catch
The writing quality ultimately depends on the refill, not the titanium. The bolt mechanism is tactile pleasure, not productivity, and the body is heavier than a disposable pen.
