Zero DSR/X
An electric dual-sport motorcycle that replaces engine drama with 169 lb-ft of immediate torque and a very different ownership equation.

The DSR/X is interesting because electrification changes the feel of an adventure motorcycle more radically than it changes most cars. Zero lists 169 lb-ft of peak torque, a 112 mph top speed and up to 179 miles of city range for the current DSR/X.
The result is not simply “an electric motorcycle.” It is a different mechanical proposition: no clutch, no shifting, immediate torque and charging replacing fuel stops.
What we know
What does the premium buy?
The rational baseline is a conventional dual-sport motorcycle with easier long-distance refueling. DSR/X's premium buys immediate electric torque, simplified controls and a radically different drivetrain/maintenance experience. Remote-route charging constraints remain the structural compromise.
Admire · Buy only when your routes fit the charging model
The electric architecture is genuinely different and compelling. Riders whose use is compatible with predictable charging have a coherent case; remote adventure travel still exposes the weakness fastest.
The catch
Adventure travel exposes the weakness of electric infrastructure more quickly than urban riding. Range, charging access and recharge time matter far more once the route gets remote.
